It complies entirely with the provisions of the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and also with India's Copyright Act, 1957, protecting intellectual property rights.

This policy clarifies our approach to processing traditional copyright infringement allegations, counter-notifications and user responsibilities. This ensures all Indian audiences are able to stream legally and ethically.

2. Flixfox's Function as a Content Aggregator

Flixfox is merely a content aggregator. It links users to content that other individuals provide, but it does not host, store, or own any copyrighted information including movies, shows on TV, live broadcasts, OTT material and so on.

We are a middle-man but we fight against illegal redistributions of protected works, and respond well to legitimate claims from copyright holders.

3. Requirements and processing for infringement notifications

If you are the copyright owner or an authorized representative and believe Flixfox uses your work without permission, please send a valid infringement notification that includes:

A detailed description of the copyrighted work (title, creator, original source, proof of ownership);

Distinctive information to allow us to locate infringing content (category title or descriptive markers);

Full name, physical address and phone number;

Written statement confirming your authority to act on behalf of the copyright owner;

Sworn declaration under penalty of perjury that you provided accurate information stating the use is unauthorized.

My staff will acknowledge receipt of a valid, detailed notification within 48 hours and initiate a comprehensive investigation. The law requires infringing content to be removed or disabled in 72 hours.

We take repeat offenders very seriously and we have a robust policy in place to prevent repeat offenders from using our platform, and we don't have to give users warnings if they're violating copyright law over and over again.

4. Counternotification

If you believe any such content has been removed in error, please send a counter-notification containing:

Your physical or electronic signature;

Identification of the material that has been taken down and the location at which it may be found (or was previously located);

A statement under penalty of perjury that you believe removal was in error;

Consent to Indian court jurisdiction and service of process from the original claimant.

If the claimant does not take court action, we will forward a counter-notification to the claimant and restore the material within 14 business days.

Flixfox disclaims liability for unintentional infringement by third-party providers, as real-time monitoring of all content is not feasible.
